TRUST

Trust is important element of communication, leadership and all relationships. Trust can be subjective however in terms of leadership communication there are 5 main elements. These include Integrity, Competence, Consistency, Loyalty and  Openness.

 

LEADERSHIP SKILLS

Within Leadership one must have the ability to utilize various skills of communication and leadership. Researchers have identifed Technical, Conceptual and Human skills as main elements. Leadership Skills defer from Traits as Skills are "what you can do" as traits are "who you are". 

 

TRAITS OF LEADERS

Leadership comes in various different ways, however researchers have identified Five Traits in which they encompass. These include Intelligence, Self Confidence, Determination, Integrity, and Sociability.

 

POWER

Power is important element that comes along with Leadership. As a Leader it's important to be aware of this and utilize the various types of power in different situations. These include Legitimate Power, Reward Power, Informational Power, Referent Power, Coercive Power and Expert Power.
